Geraniums, weigelas, lupines and rugosa roses

Lupines of many colours form the various flower borders of the Residenza Del Sole in Gressoney, in the area of the roundabout at the entrance, in the park and in the zone around the open-air solarium.

These are flowerings of garden or common lupines, known by the botanical name of "Lupinus polyphyllus".

Other varieties of Lupinus polyphyllus in many colours, including composite ones, are cultivated in the Regina Margherita Botanical Garden at Castel Savoia in Gressoney.

Their normal period of flowering at the Residenza Del Sole is in June, though some of the later ones usually remain in flower until mid July.
